Glenn Howard confirmed today to Murray McCormick in the Regina Leader-Post that his longtime second will move over to Kevin Koe's Alberta rink and apparently replace the departing Carter Rycroft.
Glenn Howard said Thursday that second Brent Laing, who has curled with him since 2004 and shared in two Brier and world championships, will be moving on after this season.
That leaves Howard, third Wayne Middaugh and lead Craig Saville pondering their future as a team.
"We definitely won't have the same look (next season),' Howard said before Thursday's afternoon draw at the Callie Curling Club. "It's just a matter of figuring out what the three of us will end up doing.
"Right now, I'm really not sure. We haven't discussed what we will do, whether it's sticking together or moving on.
Laing won eight consecutive Ontario titles as part of Team Howard and also represented Ontario in 2002 playing for John Morris. By joining Team Koe, he'll get to play in another Brier as that squad is the first Team Canada after winning the national championship.
